The famous London Spirits Competition 2024 had a record number of participants from as many as 80 countries. More than 2,000 registered alcoholic beverages competed for the title of the best, including products from about twenty Croatian companies. The Zagreb brand Carasman won two silver and one bronze, which is a huge success for enthusiasts who started production just over a year ago. Carasman won silver medals at the prestigious competition with the gins Orange Turbo and Jack Herer, while the bronze went to Blueberry Kush.

Strict criteria for the London spirits competition 2024

Sid Patel, founder of the London Spirit Competition, assembled a jury of some of Britain's best bartenders, distributors and experts who evaluated the submitted drinks based on three criteria: quality, value for money and visual appeal.

"We believe in what we do with all our hearts, but we really didn't expect such great success because the competition was incredibly strong, and to win the award we had to achieve high marks in each of the given criteria. This is our first outing outside the borders of Croatia and we are all the more proud of the results," says Siniša Uštulica, co-founder of Carasman.

The demand for gin is growing all over the world

Among the 2,000 drinks entered for the competition, gin is the most represented with 520 registered brands, followed by rum and whiskey, followed by tequila, vodka, brandies and liqueurs. Demand for gin is growing steadily worldwide and is estimated at 5% per year over the next decade.

The enthusiastic duo from Carasman, consisting of Igor Šeler and Siniša Uštulica, have reason to be satisfied with their success, but also a lot of work ahead of them, because, in addition to the production that they have successfully set up after years of preparation, there is a demanding phase of promotion and strengthening distribution.

Unique recipe with cannabinoid terpenes

Carasman offers five exclusive types of gin - Orange Turbo, Jack Herer, Blueberry Kush, 10K Jack and Terranino. All gins in the basic preparation contain as many as 16 herbal supplements that are the basis for infusing terpenes from proven and high-quality cannabis strains. This unique recipe guarantees completely new, enchanting flavors and aromas that work equally well when gin is drunk on its own, in the popular combination with tonic or as part of sumptuous, multi-layered cocktails.
